The Different Types of Freehold and Leasehold
Casper: Freehold refers to the land that a building sits on. If it's a house, it will be freehold. However, if it's an apartment, and there are 10 apartments in a building, each one can't own the freehold. On occasion, those leaseholders, which they're able to do through law, they can buy out the freeheld. In that situation, those apartments are referred to as leasehold with share of freehold.
