The Today Is a Powerful Prayer
Today is a powerful prayer because it echoes the prayer of the angels before the throne of the living God. You see the chant going up, coming back down with the blessings and the beatific vision. So too in the monastic life and this monastic chant is part of that. It's almost like watching a spider do a push up on a mirror. And so again, I've seen this in action.
