The Transition to Platform Engineering
SRE started out as DevOps and then evolved into platform engineering. Platform engineers are really there for kind of helping with scaling and deployment. They're going to help the infrastructure teams who don't necessarily know how to write code or interact with CI CD, right? And that eventually kind of evolved into this thing we now call platform engineering.
