Wave Front Sensor Measures Residual Slopes
Light travels at the speed of light, so. This happens before it goes into the CCD or the before the camera? At the same time. Wave front sensor measures the slopes. Measurement is an input that gets converted via linear transformation to commands. A signal that gets sent to the mirror. The mirror takes those commands, shifts all the actuators to their desired positions. Next thing you know, it looks better because you corrected for light that should have been there.
