Could we eventually have this sort of, I don't know if you'd call it telepathy? Well, so there's absolutely wild work being done with penetrating really invasive implants. Along with machine learning based signal processing algorithms, they've been able to pick up what someone is thinking at a rate of something like 60 words per minute. But trying to translate that into the suction cups on your head is a non-starter because the skull just messes up those electrical signals too hard.
