I Reject Determinism
I reject determinism, and so i think you need foreknowledge to make sense of these kinds of texts. If these are really propropesies about empires and things happening in the future over hundreds of years, this involves countless numbers of human decisions. And would like the butterfly effect, where even a very small kind of variation con have massive implications later on. I think there's a model of providence that's indeterministic with foreknowledge. Or you can just say, yes, exactly as that reads is affirmed, as long as we make some distinctions that i think are warranted in the biblical text. Right?
