Would the United States Subscribe to an International Organization?

Would any country with the united states subscribe to an international organization that could compel it to do things? I don't know. What do you think? Would you vote for admission to such an organization? The league of nations, in the period between the first and second world wars, failed. United states, again, was not a member because it didn't want to be dictated to as to what it could do and what it couldnot do. Didn't want to give up its sovereignty.
