The Risk of Individualism

There are some people who focus so strongly on the individual that those individuals can then seem sort of disconnected from everything else. There's a risk of that sometimes it can be a bit individualistic, but there's also a risk of people going too far the other way. You know we've evolved to a certain point on the food chain as part of the circle of life, life consumes life, and so I'm going to have my burger. It's not anthropomorphism to say that others shy away from from pain and violence. And all of this is not talking about industrial farming or animal photojournalists like Edgar whose mission is to document animals in their natural habitat.
