The Billboard Promised Land
Derek Jarman's first autobiographical work Dancing Lege. The story is mentioned in Tony Peake's biography of Derek Jarman which many of you probably have as well. There was a copy in the British library which I didn't know about went over to visit and not only is it inscribed on the back here in Derek's kind of very distinctive handwriting but phrase Billboard Promised Land crops up in three or four of the poems. It made me think why has no well this story is mentioning in the biography I'm sure somebody is doing something about it, says Keith Collins.
