O'Keeffe's Story

O'Keeffe was bitter about a number of matters, including the money he entrusted to Maffy. While Maffy claimed that part of the money had been stolen from its hiding place, and the remainder had been spent in financing his legal defense. Other gang members accused Maffy of blowing the money O’Keeffe had entrusted to his care. So after verifying his story, the FBI was able to arrest six members of the gang,. Baker, Costa, Gigan, Maffey and McGinnis, and Pino. And they were arrested on January 12th of 1956, just coming up to the six year end of their sentence.
