How Universities Can Prioritize Recruitment of First Generation Black Students
First generation students are a "very real, a very real category of individual," she says. Universities need to continue to do the outreach and partner with organizations like mine that provide certain level of support for first-generation black students in her program. The only requirements are 2.5 GPA or above or black or black identifying, right? So, you know, you work with a black law success fellow, you're not only getting a top candidate, you're also getting someone who you identify as African American or black.
