The Importance of John and Sherlock in the Show

I think the only takeaway that I feel comfortable saying about that scene is that it's important that they put John in that scenario, not the one that's behind the arrow. So there's some overlap there where either people in the show or the audience perhaps could confuse John and Sherlock. There's always a function of here's the story in this episode and then what it's supposed to be in the larger picture. And I think trying to say one or the other is going to get hurt or killed, it's like it's kind of both really. We can argue specifics all day, but both of them are threatened constantly.
