What Is the End of Stories?

I never understood people who find graveyards to be spooky or dark places. These are libraries, essentially - why would you be frightened of a library? You take one down and consider the name and consider something of the story that works inside. Here in Sterling, there are the graves of... Sterling's 17th century merchants with a kind of reversed four symbols. I feel that it's kind of hand outstretched rather than a sort of skeletal hand that you should fear.
