The Pathophysiology of Acquired Growth Hormone Deficiency

In profound growth hormone deficiency, they should both be low. And so if they're lower end of normal, that may still indicate a partial growth hormone deficiency. Acquired growth hormone deficiency is due to injuries to the hypothalamus or pituitary and so that can be trauma. Large tumors like cranial friendeomas, optic pathway gliomas, Germanomas, things that infiltrate the pituitary stock could cause it.
