We want the brain to associate bedroom as a place I go to sleep and get high quality, wonderful sleep. And so what we tell people to do is if they find themselves lying in bed longer than say 20 minutes or so, just get up out of that bed. Go to a quiet space outside of the bedroom. It can take a few nights for this to really sort of kick in and start to entrain. Over time, you're really going to notice an improvement in your sleep.
