I think it's turning out that maybe the Desantis's biggest analytical problem in understanding the lay of the land and politics is that he's just way too addicted to Twitter. I think that has led him to sort of snuggle up to a lot of the Claremont types, which I think is a huge mistake for him. It does sort of show you more broadly how sort of tribal partisanship makes it so difficult to hold a straight line on any of these things. The whole thing, I was probably a little too harsh on it at the outset because I was letting the territorial dispute eclipse everything else.
