The Interpretive Grid That Treats the Bible as a Christian Book
The Enlightenment had done some work that bore some fruit in the higher critical studies in the 1800s. That in of itself was imitated by many interpreters who look at that kind of set of assumptions or exegesis and say, well, then I'm going to read the Bible this way. Just stand back for a second and realize we're all imitating some kind of interpretive grid. And I think that will already be pointing us in a better direction.
