How to Distract From the Gospel

I'm helping a sister in Christ right now who's involved in a church that is so overly focused on the idea of tongues. And I mean, and she recognizes God is a God of order. She recognizes the Paul says if these gifts are here, but the gift of tongues should not be used unless there's someone they're to interpret. Otherwise, people are going to think you're drunk. Because you just babble, and no one can understand it. So yeah, here's a here's a group of I'm certain they're sincere believers, but their focus has moved off of what's central to the Christian gospel and on to something else that distracts them from really doing God
