Even the Angels Long to Look Into These Things
Even the Old Testament prophet who makes an announcement about the work of God coming through Christ doesn't fully understand exactly how all this is going to come together. Peter in 1 Peter chapter 1, he says it this way, talking about salvation that was foretold by the prophets. The angels of heaven are looking into the story going, what in the world is happening? Now the angel had the message but the angels, not really sure. But then look in the next verse, verse 12. It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you when they spoke of the things that have now been told you by those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven
