Lufthansa's Co-Chairs to India

Lufthansa and its subsidiary Swiss currently operate 39 weekly flights to India that is about a fourth of just one of its Gulf rivals Emirates. As China still remains largely restrictive in allowing flights India assumes massive importance for the German carrier. The government would rather push its own airlines to ferry more international passengers and cargo than their foreign rivals. But all of this requires government approvals which aren't so easy to get in India.
