The Power of Identifiers in the West

The teenager that was killed was Islamic, is that right? Yeah, I mean, a migrant background, which is... Gotcha, okay. So that's feeling it a bit as well. We're certainly at a remarkable moment in history. But this is the thing too that historians tell us: Most cultures are not murdered, most cultures commit suicide. They don't get overtaken from the outside, they fall apart from the inside. There's so many indicators of those sort of cracks in the foundation in the West.
