The Difference Between Medical ICU and Surgical ICU
In the medical icu, a, we really just focus on how the patient looks qualitatively. We don't really look at quantitative values yet. You want to make sure that their oxygen saturations are ok and they're not hypercarbic. The surgical i use, there's more attention paid to quantitative assessments like force or vital capacity. But to be in truth, these don't really predict any better successof extimating people than just a qualitative look at the patient.
