The ATF Rule Doesn't Make Gunkits Illegal

The argument is essentially that ATF doesn't have the authority to define firearms or frames or receivers. And they're wrong about that, says CNN's John Sutter. Even before this rule was proposed and finalized, gun companies were going to ATF with questions like "Is this unfinished framework receiver?" The other side is using taco kits as their sort of metaphor. They are saying, Hey, if tacos were regulated by the government, that wouldn't mean that the government could regulate the sales of taco kits which contained all the ingredients to make tacos.
