Those who fell here, those who have fallen before or since, those who linger yet a little longer soon to follow. All are mustered in one great company on the shining heights of life with that star of Maine's armorial ensign upon their foreheads forever like the ranks of the galaxy. That is the great reward of service to live far out and on in the life of others. This is the mystery of the Christ to give life's best for such high sake that it shall be found again unto life eternal. And I think that's something to think about on the 4th of July.
