Mycenaean Culture in the Late Bronze Age

Mycenaeans were pirates, who attacked undefended coastal villages in the Aegean and Anatolia. Evidence shows that around 1450 to 1425 BC, they reached Crete. The palaces of Feistos, Malia and Zachros were destroyed by fire as well as numerous country villas and small towns. A concentrated study of the pottery shows that the palace at Nosos was spared and came under control of the MycenaeANS.
