James Baldwin and Burtis Baldwin

Baldwin's mother, Anna Burtis, lived from 1902 until 1999. Her son James Baldwin was diagnosed with stomach cancer and he was living in Paris at the time. She is stunned that she lived past her son but has a sense of peace about it.
