The Death Penalty Has Lost Its Deterrent Value
In California, there are currently 692 people on death row. In 1985, the average time between time a death sentence was imposed and the time it was carried out was under six years. It is now 20 years; in some cases, it is 30 years. The Biden administration has been quote unquote, studying the issue for the last two years. I believe that if these were speeded up, that this kind of thing happened more regularly, that it's all very high degree of likelihood.
