The Problem With Christian Nationalism

When you gut Christianity from the miraculous nature of Scripture, then all you have left to be a Christian is to do good stuff like Jesus did. And that was a very real situation in the middle of the 20th century when the modernist, fundamentalist controversy erupted. I think it's legitimate to say that people are critiquing that Christians are involved in culture in any meaningful way. But they're doing it out of a reaction to either a social gospel that does social work and never does the gospel.
