The Relationship Between Attention and Memory in Brains
The hippocampus showed more preparation when your attention was guided by memory rather than just us telling you that you have to pay attention. The medial prefrontal cortex didn't care as much about that relational spatial aspect or maybe I'm not remembering. So there's no clear dividing line between attentional systems and memory systems, but they have to be fundamentally interactive.
