The Importance of Philotius Jordanus Bruno
Philosopher Philotius Jordanus Bruno's Nolanos was executed in 1600 by being burnt at the stake. He is the only known 16th century philosopher to have been excommunicated from all three major confessions, Roman Catholic, Calvinist and Lutheran.
