Ireland's population is now at 5.1 million for the first time since the 19th century. The average cost of a home in Holland is 390 grand, but there are only 72 Irish people per square kilometer. This means that Irish land and houses are relative to the population five times more expensive than Holland. "Irish land prices are kept artificially high," he says.
