The first basketball scene of the whole movie is so good because they're actually playing basketball. Spike was willing to sacrifice the acting chops of basketball players in order to get a basketball type movie. John Wallace, Walter McCarty, and Travis Best are 18 years old. So that there's a boy who Harper was like 31. That was a big thing for spike in this movie.
