The Importance of National Security in Foreign Policy
The courts have been pretty clear that even when national security is involved, that does not eliminate the scrutiny. So there'll be some matter of deference, particularly on any predictions that the government is making about national security risks. There's an interesting wrinkle with the government's interest in protecting Americans from disinformation because the court held in a series of cases but sort of most famously in over 50 years ago called Lamont v. Postmaster General.
