Sleep Deprivation - What Does the Data Say?

People who get insufficient amounts of sleep are at increased risk for a whole host of negative health outcomes, ranging from cardiovascular disease to type 2 diabetes to obesity. Short sleep duration might be a predictor of things like neurodegenerative diseases, like Alzheimer's disease. We know that when people get kind of extended periods of sleep loss or even just one night, we see robust changes in their cognition.
