Antiviral Drug Discovery Centers
Institutes of Health the NIH have recently announced a new effort where they plan to put 600 million dollars into these new centers called antiviral drug discovery centers for specifically for pathogens of pandemic concern. I think focusing on prevention is something that medicine does less well and it's constantly a dilemma that medical doctors are are dealing with. Public health and prevention can't be forgotten in this so even as we're spending money on vaccines and medical countermeasures I am personally more optimistic about other preventative approaches yeah.
