The Lord's Covenant With Levi
Fishbane suggests that in puns, inversions, and reversals, the Lord is giving the priests measure for measure. There aren't many references to a covenant with Levi in the Scriptures. The violent zeal of Levi displayed in Exodus chapter 32 when they executed the Lord's wrath upon their Israelite brethren led to their being set apart for the priesthood.
