I think people frequently complained about the characterization of Luke because sometimes he gets made like two, obviously. This book leans a lot on not just Percy's but also the audiences sort of absorbed knowledge of Greek mythology to tell you the way that the the world works and the relationships of the different characters have with each other. Like I think it still will scan for most people and for the people it doesn't scan for. It's enough to get you like interested in looking more up. Yeah, it is still subject to what people might find wanting about like the mythical depictions of the gods.
