Oral Tradition and the Gospels
The way oral tradition was passed down, i do believe it was accurate. Some things do get lost in transmission. So there's always a little bit of poetic liberty, creative adaptation. And that's what we have actually in the gospels. Is it oral tradition that finally becomes written down? It just doesn't happen to be oral for a very long time. That's the difference.
