How to Get to Mackinaw Island

Mackinaw is a distant, remote island between the lower peninsula and the upper peninsula of michigan. There are no motorized vehicles on thef or on the on the island that isn't within reason. It feels like getting off a steamship in san francisco - it's kind of hot with lots of ship going on. But once the island clears out, things lean out a little bit,. then all of a sudden you've got like bunch of cool restaurants, some really awesome little hotels  and there's just a ton of people making day trips to the island.
