The Complexity of Complex Systems
complex systems are often stable, but that stability has to be produced. So i talk about thinking through a complex system's framework to try to reconfigure understanding of race as an outcome of interactions between all these systems. One of the reasons i really like this framework is because its conceptual resources enable us to acknowledge that these distinctions are analytical impositions, rather than reflective of, like, clear cuts in the world. I also owe it at to erca cudworth and stephen hobden. They've got a great book called posthuman international relations, where they interact with sylvia walby's theorization um.
