The Future of Food Technology in Japan?

The agricultural ministry published a draft vision on the promotion of food tech in December. Nixin Foods, maker of instant noodles, approached Takeuchi and offered to jointly develop cultural meat in 2017. A public private consortium of government agencies, researchers and food producers will meet in late February to adopt a draft vision. In the meantime, Professor Takeuchi and Nixin will continue working on that steak.
