The Importance of Speed in Trading

The biggest difference today is speed. When they used to have a runner running orders, it was all three minutes to fill an order. Now you can instantaneously cancel an order within a second. I think speed also has allowed the large interest to capitalize because people in front of a screen, they like to push buttons.
