The Responsibility of Proportionality in Conflict Between States

Israel has been criticized for its disproportionate response to Palestinian attacks. Israel doesn't shy away from admitting that it has had recourse to a disproportionate amount of force in the conflict with Palestine. In some historical cases, such as dropping bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, there are people who defend or criticize those actions. The question is how many deaths did it prevent? That's very much different. Now you go back to the situation, right, if this seems to be anything at this point, it will just make it worse because we're getting into a rabbit hole.
