Introduction

Malcolm X is considered to be one of the greatest and most influential African Americans in history. In 1998 Time Magazine ranked The Autobiography of Malcolm X as one of the 10 most influential nonfiction books of the 20th century. He converted to the nation of Islam in prison and completely transformed his life beginning to preach the message of Elijah Muhammad for whom he had evangelized so many years.
