The Different Approaches to Deals in 21
In 21, as valuations were at record highs, what was being underwritten was also fundamentally different than in years earlier. And so the types of deals that were being done were very often growth focused. These were smaller, very programmatic often, and therefore the integration required a different approach. One that was maybe less integration management focused or project management focused of the blocking and tackling. The orchestration was really more of how do we sequence these series of strategy projects to then set the combined company on a path to deliver that top line growth.
