Is There a Threshold for AI Content?

I don't think too many people teaching topical authority are suggesting pre AI, oh, you should just mention the words and it can be shit content. Like there's still a threshold for it to be, I think considered. If Google knows that your content is shit and is not gonna rank it, why would it necessarily count it towards your relevancy if it sees that shit content? And so like again, it's gonna be like, how much effort do you put behind each page?
