In 2003, Morris Gibb died at the age of 53 from a heart attack while preparing for surgery on a blocked intestine. The two remaining Gibb brothers performed together only two more times after Morris's death. Barry and Robin at first pledged to soldier on and keep the Bee Gees name alive.
