The Layout Is Removed When You Stand Back a Turbo Stream Response
The amount of data you're sitting over the wire is much smaller. You don't have the layout by default when you stand back some Turbo Stream response. The layout is removed for you. There are workarounds that get a device working natively with Rails 7 Hotwire and all that good stuff. But if you were not wanting to go through all those headaches, adding in your own failure handler just magically works.
