People knew who jim jones was, and he was a big deal. Thisguy could call mayors of major cities state officials,. celebrities and get meetings that day. He was owed favor, favors, by very important people. In this brief period before everything fell apart, during his amphetomineal fueld pantasies, Jim would see himself as a leader of the world revolution. But all those fantasies were about to come to an end very abruptly. And so it's hard to overstate the scope of jim's ambitions.
