What's the Buddha Saying About the World?

The Buddha is talking about the self's either existence or non-existence. The sort of nihilist position would say there's no world, the eternalist position would be essentially like naive realism. And so this question of what's the Buddhist, what is emptiness saying about the world? Does the world really exist or not? It's a sort of middle way between there.
